Gradska Kavana Lovac is a well-established and well-organised restaurant with clear operating standards. We focus on quality, cleanliness, professionalism and consistency in food preparation.

Our kitchen prepares international and traditional dishes, à la carte meals, daily lunch specials, made-to-order menus, food for larger gatherings and formal banquets, as well as catering services. We place particular emphasis on good organisation, a steady pace of work and precision.

The ground floor features a rustic-style restaurant and a summer terrace, while the upper floor houses a large conference and banquet hall, as well as guest accommodation.

For half a century, Gradska Kavana Lovac has been known throughout the wider region as a place where guests can enjoy menus inspired by local flavours, as well as predominantly continental international cuisine, throughout the year and for every occasion.

Job Description

• independently preparing international, traditional and continental dishes

• demonstrating versatility in food preparation and a willingness to work across different kitchen sections

• working in the hot and cold kitchen sections as required

• preparing, organising and checking ingredients and supplies

• maintaining kitchen hygiene standards

• working effectively as part of a team, with a focus on cleanliness, professionalism and cooperation

Requirements

Essential

• at least three years of professional experience as a cook

• ability to prepare dishes independently

• knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards

• willingness to work shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

• willingness to work weekends

Preferred

• experience in preparing international and traditional dishes

• formal culinary education is preferred but not required

Working Hours

• shift work between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

• five or six working days per week

• one or two days off per week, depending on the shift schedule

• weekend work according to the restaurant’s operational needs

• kitchen working hours are organised according to customer demand and the restaurant’s operational needs
